Ronan Farrow Will Release A Book Detailing How Harvey Weinstein Allegedly Silenced Victims

According to a report from People.com, Ronan Farrow, the award-winning journalist, is releasing a new book soon regarding Harvey Weinstein and how the former Miramax and Weinstein Company producer silenced his victims.

Farrow won a Pulitzer Prize for his journalism and exposés on Harvey Weinstein. The journalist is now releasing a book called, Catch and Kill, and reports indicate that it may add even more layers to an already deleterious situation for the disgraced Hollywood mogul.

The 31-year-old said to People Magazine that his book is all about the way in which powerful men use their influence and resources to cover up crimes of abuse. Ronan added that it’s also a story of the individuals involved in the story who exposed themselves to great personal risk for the sake of revealing the truth.

The work done by Farrow and two other journalists laid the foundation for the beginnings of the #MeToo movement in the final months of 2017. In October of 2017, Meghan Twohey and Jodi Kantor published a report in The New York Times detailing the stories of eight different women, who accused Harvey of assault and sexual harassment.

Not long after, The New Yorker published another one written by Farrow, which had a whopping 13 women complaining of the disgraced mogul’s transgressions and behavior.

Moreover, the report had within it a recording where Weinstein can allegedly be heard telling Ambra Battilana Guiterrez that he touched her breast without her permission because he was “used to” it. Following the catastrophic allegations against Harvey, his production company, The Weinstein Company, declared bankruptcy and is now defunct.

Famously, The Weinstein Company is known for producing many of Quentin Tarantino’s biggest movies, including Pulp Fiction and Inglorious Basterds. The Hateful Eight was the last movie handled by The Weinstein Company.

Currently, Harvey is waiting for his criminal sexual assault trial which is slated for next month. If Harvey is convicted guilty for his crimes, he’ll be the second major Hollywood figure to go to prison for assault, following Bill Cosby who was convicted last year and sent to prison in September 2018.
